Roasted String Beans (The best way to eat them).
Friday, November 22, 2013
I love my healthy foods but there's only so much pretending to be satisfied we can really do when we're served up some boring old boiled green beans with not so much as some salt to ease the pain.I love my healthy food but I'm not willing to sacrifice my good food. So if you're looking to get as lean as a bean (a string bean that is, not a baked bean, that wouldn't be good) make a batch of these for dinner this week! (Or impress your Thanksgiving guests!)
It's almost too quick and easy to share but they're just so good!
YOU WILL NEED:
1 PACK STRING BEANS (ENDS REMOVED, IF YOU WANT)
3-4 CLOVES GARLIC
2 TSP SOY SAUCE
2 TSP LEMON JUICE
1/2 TSP GARLIC SALT
SEA SALT
GROUND BLACK PEPPER
OLIVE OIL
Pre-heat oven to 175 C or 250 F
Spread the beans out on a baking tray on some parchment paper.
Evenly drizzle with some olive oil, the soy sauce and the lemon juice and sprinkle the garlic salt, some sea salt and black pepper.
Roast for 25-30 minutes or until softened but crispy and slightly brown on the outside.
Enjoy!

I totally agree! Green beans are so much better when you jazz them up a bit. This recipe looks so good I'll have to try it!
